It rained all day Thursday, making it a bit nasty for going outside. Instead, I got a few shots of my lovely wife as we spent the day getting to know our surroundings.
Our trip was arranged around a Knoxville radio personality, Phil Williams. We met him this morning.
Fresh flowers can be found all around the ship. Here's a vase with some small lovelies.
I was born in Medford, Wisconsin and spent my formative years on dairy farm near Cadott, in Chippewa County. I spent four years in the US Air Force after High School. Back to school, after which I was employed for thirty years by IBM. In 1968 I married Anita Dettmer. We lived five years in Rochester, MN, where our son Jefferson was born in 1971. In 1973 we moved to Cedar Park, TX, living there for thirteen years. Then came three years in Charlotte, NC and nine in Lexington, KY. I retired in 1998, and we moved to Niceville, FL where we lived for eight years. In 2006 we moved to Hamilton County, TN (north of Chattanooga). On September 19, 2007, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Now, three years later, I remain cancer-free. Thanks be to God!
