June 14 - Voyager!

As we walked through the airport toward the luggage carousel and rental car counters, I was surprised to find the Voyager. This is the Burt Rutan-designed aircraft that was flown around the world, without refueling, by Dick Rutan and Jeana Yeager.

Searching the internet indicates this aircraft is supposed to be gracing the halls of the National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. I don't know if this is a reproduction, or it it is the original and on loan from Washington. This view is a cropped close-up of the craft. I was amazed at it's small size.

Also hanging from the ceiling was this Curtiss biplane sporting an OX-5 V-8 engine.

More to come. Once we got checked in at the hotel, we went out to dinner with Anita's cousins!
